This is where we started...

With the idea of a cozy, rather small, truck camper with a very simple interior layout.  Built of Western red cedar (one of nature's greatest building materials), it would have its own unique charm, both inside and out.  The prototype came together well, and now we can design and build this style to work with almost any truck.

By staying small and low profile, as well as leaving out the heavy systems that support cooking, on-board power, plumbing, etc - we're able to keep weight at a manageable level.  Also, this leaves a lot of room to create a comfortable space.  These photos represent just one possible layout - the bed of a truck isn't a huge space, but there are certainly options for laying out the cabin.  A futon-style bed in the main cabin area probably makes the most sense in a design like this, leaving the cabover section for a generous storage area.
